- It is a concave non-stop interchange with left and right turn
only lanes merge with the main road.
- It is a two-level interchange with possible left and right turns
without signals, while it takes up the minimum amount of area for
non-stop interchange.
- Off ramps are to the right side of the main road, then splits
off again to left and right. Vehicles then merge onto the main roads
of their destination. This is identical to the flow of traffic into
an intersection.
- There is no intersecting point of conflict, and there are only
split offs and merges within the intersection.
- Since roads merge after they split off to the right from the
main road, there is no point of conflict as seen in the cloverleaf
interchange.
- Since the required area is similar to the conventional intersection,
it can be applied in arterial roads in urban areas, where off ramps
are to the right and space is restricted. |
